A: do you like animals?

B: yes, doesn't everyone?

A: what's your favorite animal?

你最喜歡的動(dòng)物是什么?

B:  it's hard to say. While dogs are more affectionate, cats are much easier to take care of.

這很難說(shuō).狗對(duì)人比較熱情,而貓咪通常比較容易照料.

A: have you ever had a dog?

你養(yǎng)過(guò)狗嗎?

B:  when I was little, we had a few domestic dogs at home.

我小時(shí)候家里養(yǎng)過(guò)幾只寵物狗.

A: they always say that dogs are a man's best friends. do you think that's true?

人們總說(shuō):狗是人類(lèi)最好的朋友.你覺(jué)得說(shuō)得對(duì)嗎?

B:  definitely. rich or poor, dogs always love their masters.

絕對(duì)沒(méi)錯(cuò).無(wú)論主人是貧是富,狗總是愛(ài)它們的主人.

A: how about cats? Have you ever had one for a pet?

貓呢?你養(yǎng)過(guò)貓做寵物嗎?

B:  i had one a few months ago, but she ended up running away.

A: how did that happen?

B:  she left through a window that was open one night and never returned.

A: you must have been devastated!

B:  i was pretty sad. i still hope that she'll return some day!

A: I hope she does. Do you think you'll ever get another pet?

我希望它會(huì).只要身邊有只寵物陪伴,你就不會(huì)覺(jué)得孤單.

B:  I think I will. It's difficult to feel longly when you have a pet around.

我想我會(huì)的。當(dāng)你有寵物在身邊時(shí)，很難長(zhǎng)時(shí)間地感覺(jué)到。

A: i hope your cat finds its way back home.

我希望你家的貓能找到回家的路.

B:  i do, too.
