B: I usually use chopsticks but some people, they definitely prefer just using hands.
 
通常我會(huì)用筷子，不過也有人直接用手拿著吃。
 
A: You can eat with your hands at the restaurant?
 
在餐廳可以直接用手拿壽司吃嗎？
 
B: The restaurant if it's more an upscale restaurant, that it has a little art deco that you feel that it is not like old school, but really upscale restaurant. I would recommend to use chopsticks but if it's an old school sushi restaurant and in downtown area, yeah, it's totally acceptable to use your hands.
 
如果是那種高級(jí)餐廳，有裝飾藝術(shù)的餐廳，不太像傳統(tǒng)的日式餐廳，而是高級(jí)餐廳的話，我建議用筷子，但是如果是市中心的傳統(tǒng)餐廳，直接用手拿著吃是完全可以接受的。
 
A: Interesting. OK, so I am eating maybe with chopsticks or with my hands. Is there anything I need to put on the sushi or eat with the sushi or do I just eat is straight?
 
挺有意思。好，我可以用筷子或者直接拿手吃壽司。那在吃的時(shí)候，我還要在壽司上放些其它東西搭配著吃嗎，還是直接吃就行了？
 
B: OK, I think the big question's always, how much wasabi.
 
我覺得最大的問題是放多少芥末。
 
A: Wasabi? What's wasabi?
 
芥末？那是什么？
 
B: Wasabi is a horseradish. It's really hot. The green one you might have seen.
 
就是芥末。非常的辣。你可能見過綠色的。
 
A: Oh, it looks like putty.
 
哦，看上去很像油灰。
 
B: Correct. And the real sushi restaurant, they actually either ask you or you basically let the sushi chef decide how much they are gonna put on the sushi, and you basically, you just use soy sauce as a dip and eat it, so if you really don't like to have anything spicy you might want to tell the chef that I don't need wasabi in my sushi.
 
沒錯(cuò)。真正的壽司餐廳會(huì)詢問你可以接受壽司師傅放多少芥末，基本上來說，也可以只蘸醬油吃，所以如果你真的不喜歡吃辣的話，那你可以跟壽司師傅說不放芥末。
 
A: OK, I saw someone once at a sushi restaurant put wasabi in the soy sauce. Is that acceptable?
 
好，我曾經(jīng)在壽司餐廳看到有人把芥末放進(jìn)了醬油里。可以這樣做嗎？
 
B: That's acceptable but it depends on the restaurant. Some restaurants actually give you wasabi along with your sushi dish and you add the wasabi onto the soy sauce trey. That's totally fine. You can control the hotness, the spiciness. Yeah, that's fine and also you can just go without wasabi and just enjoy the natural flavor of fish.
 
可以，不過也要看餐廳。一些餐廳會(huì)在上壽司的同時(shí)上一份芥末醬，那你就可以把芥末加到醬油里面。完全可以這樣做?？梢钥刂评倍?。這樣做沒問題，當(dāng)然你也可以不加芥末，享受原汁原味的魚肉。
 
A: What happens if you eat too much wasabi?

B: Basically, tears comes out.

A: You burn your brain.

B: You burn your brain. Yeah.
