A: So, Anja, you are from Switzerland?
 
安雅，你來自瑞士，對吧？
 
B: Yes, exactly.
 
對，沒錯。
 
A: So, I thought we would talk a little about your country.
 
那我們來聊聊你的祖國吧。
 
B: OK.
 
好。
 
A: First of all, what do you like most about being Swiss?
 
第一個問題，你最喜歡瑞士的哪方面？
 
B: Actually, what I like the most about Switzerland is that the country is neutral, so that means that we have an army but we don't have war with any country. We go abroad to support people and help people if there is some sort of war or some trouble abroad, but we don't fight against any country.
 
實際上，我最喜歡瑞士的地方是瑞士是中立國家，這意味著雖然我們有軍隊，但是我們不會和任何國家進行戰(zhàn)爭。如國其他國家爆發(fā)戰(zhàn)爭，那我們會提供支持和幫助，但我們不會和任何國家作戰(zhàn)。
 
A: So when there's a major conflict, you don't take a side.
 
也就是說發(fā)生嚴重沖突時，你們國家不會支持任何一方。
 
B: That's exactly this.
 
沒錯，就是這個意思。
 
A: So, how about... are Swiss people very political? Like are they in terms of your country, like are they very involved with politics?
 
那瑞士人關心政治問題嗎？你們國家的民眾會涉足政治問題嗎？
 
B: Yes, actually you have to, especially young people are very involved in politics as well, and like we have votes and what not, like every month there's something we have to give our vote, and people always do it. It's really amazing. I like that a lot.
 
關心，特別是年輕人會涉足一些政治問題，我們要投票，每個月我們都要投票，人們經(jīng)常做這些。這真的很棒，我很喜歡。
 
A: Wait a minute! You vote every month?
 
等一下！你們每個月都投票？
 
B: Yeah, for some local things or prefectural things and we always get the stuff back home in the mail, and then we have to fill it out. You know, tick a yes or a no and bring it to the, how do you say?
 
對，每個月我們都要對一些地方問題或省級問題進行投票，投票紙會放到每家的信箱里，我們要填好。就是在投票紙上選擇是或否，然后送到……你們稱之為什么？
 
A: Like the post office?

B: Yes. Then vote.

A: So, it's like a referendum? It's about some local issue.

B: Yes, exactly. Like referendums or yeah, for the prefecture, for your city or for your village all the time.

A: That's pretty amazing. Now, are these issues that you take time to look into, or do you just kind of guess?

B: Well, it depends a little bit, like, if it's not of very big importance, like of course, everything is important, but then, you know, you just do what you feel is the right thing and you just tick a yes or no, but if you feel like it's a really big deal, like a lot of money's being invested or it's like something that concerns the whole country, then of course you will do like research on it and well, it's on the news anyway, so you .. they like the government informs you a lot and you get brochures like for the topics and so, yeah. It's a really big deal.
 
這要取決于問題是否重要，當然每件事都很重要，你只要做你認為對的事情就好，選擇是或否就行，如果你認為那是一件非常重要的事，比如涉及重大投資或是有關整個國家的問題，當然你就要做一些研究，這些問題新聞會報道，政府也會告知一些重要信息，而且你還會拿到有關這個問題的說明冊。這種就是非常重要的問題。
