A: So how about the weather in Argentina?
 
阿根廷的天氣怎么樣？
 
B: Well the weather in Argentina depends on the part of Argentina that we are talking about.
 
那要看阿根廷的哪個地區(qū)了。
 
A: Uh-uh.
 
嗯。
 
B: For instance, the north is very dry and extreme.
 
比如，阿根廷北部地區(qū)的天氣干燥又極端。
 
A: OK.
 
好。
 
B: Like in summer, the temperature can go till forty, forty five and very dry.
 
夏天的溫度可以達到40或是45度，非常干燥。
 
A: Wow.
 
哇。
 
B: Right and you can have like minus zeros, minus zero temperatures in winter as well but very, very dry. In the east it's tropical, mainly summer most of the year, a lot of rain, everything is green.
 
嗯，冬天的溫度在零下，但也非常干燥。阿根廷東部地區(qū)是熱帶氣候，一年中大部分時間都是夏季，降水很多，到處都是綠色。
 
A: Wow.

B: The center where Buenos Aires, the capital, is located is moderated but Patagonia which is the south of Argentina is very cold, dry and there is snow.
 
布宜諾斯艾利斯位于阿根廷中部地區(qū)，氣候溫和，但是位于阿根廷南部的巴塔哥尼亞則非常寒冷、干燥，會下雪。
 
A: OK.
 
好。
 
B: Which means that in the same moment we can be, if you are in the north it will be very dry and hot or it could be snowing or it could be raining in a rainforest.
 
這意味著，在同一時間，北部地區(qū)天氣非常干燥又炎熱，而雨林地區(qū)則會下雪或下雨。
 
A: Wow. Do you get, when you said extreme weather, do you get this thunderstorm, thunder lighting?
 
哇。你剛剛說極端天氣，那阿根廷有這種雷暴天氣嗎？
 
B: It's not common, maybe it's like once in a while a thunderstorm.
 
這種天氣不太常見，可能偶爾會有一次雷暴天氣。
 
A: OK.

B: But not more than this. We don't have El Nino and monsoon, this kind of things or rainy season. We don't have this kind of weather.
 
但并不常見。我們沒有厄爾尼諾現(xiàn)象，也不屬于季風氣候，沒有雨季。所以沒有這種天氣情況。
 
A: What happens when you get thunderstorms? What happens with the people? Do you like them? Do you get scared?
 
那遇到雷暴天氣會怎樣？人們會怎么樣？是喜歡這種天氣還是會害怕？
 
B: I think that if you are a kid, you get a little scared because you are not used to but if you are an adult you are cool.
 
我想孩子可能會有些害怕，因為不適應這種天氣，不過如果是成年人，那就沒什么了。
 
A: OK. How about you?
 
好。那你呢？
 
B: I had a very bad experience that was like I experienced a twister when I was a kid.
 
我有過非常糟糕的經(jīng)歷，我小時候經(jīng)歷過龍卷風。
 
A: Wow.
 
哇。
 
B: That was kind of unusual, very unusual in my country and so I get a little scared.
 
這在我們國家非常罕見，所以我有點兒害怕。
 
A: OK. I hope it doesn't really happen any more.
