A: OK, Daniel, I know you're still really young but I know you must be thinking about what you're going to do in the future so my question would be what do you want to achieve in your life?
 
丹尼爾，我知道你還很年輕，不過我想你一定有考慮未來要做的事情，所以我想問的是，你想在人生中實(shí)現(xiàn)什么？
 
B: Well, there are definitely three things I want to do. For example, I want to do before I die, at least three things. The first one is I want to visit every continent in the earth. I'm still young but I want to do it in the next couple of years. I've never been to Africa, for example, that's a continent, that's a part of the world I'm very interested in.
 
我有三件很想做的事。我在死之前至少有三件想做的事。第一件事是我想去地球上的每個(gè)大洲游覽。我還很年輕，我想在未來幾年實(shí)現(xiàn)這個(gè)計(jì)劃。我從來沒去過非洲。那是我感興趣的一個(gè)大洲，也是世界上我想去游覽的其中一個(gè)地方。
 
The second one is that I want to see things from a different perspective. For example, I want to climb a really, really high mountain. I don't know, Everest would be amazing but I know like you need the special training and stuff like that. Or do paragliding, I would love to have the feeling that I'm flying. That's something that really, really calls my attention to see, you know, to see something from a different perspective. It can give you not only the experience but also it can help you think in a very different way for, I don't know, many things in the future.
 
第二件事是我想從不同的角度看世界。我想去爬高山。珠穆朗瑪峰很棒，可是我知道，要爬珠穆朗瑪峰需要經(jīng)過特殊的訓(xùn)練。我還想嘗試滑翔傘，我想體驗(yàn)一下飛翔的感覺。從不同的角度看世界是我非常想體驗(yàn)的事情。這不僅是一種經(jīng)歷，還可以幫助你未來用不同的想法來看待事情。
 
And the third one is definitely to raise my children. I don't have any yet but, I don't know, I would love to have that feeling that I've done my job and I've finished it so, I don't know, to have my children, to raise them properly and to see that they succeed in what they do. Those are the three things I would love to do, I don't know, before I die.
 
第三件事是養(yǎng)育孩子。雖然我現(xiàn)在還沒有孩子，不過我想體驗(yàn)?zāi)欠N感覺，在做完工作以后，正確地養(yǎng)育孩子，看著他們獲得成功。這三件事是我想在死前做的事情。
 
A: That is sweet. But earlier you told me like you were afraid of heights. Do you still want to do this thing?
 
真好。不過你之前跟我說過，你恐高。那你還想做這件事？
 
B: I am a little bit but that's a thing that I mean at least once even though you are afraid you have to do it at least once. I'm not going to do it every week, the paragliding thing, but at least once I wouldn't mind.
 
我是有點(diǎn)兒恐高，不過我認(rèn)為即使恐高，那也是你至少應(yīng)該嘗試一次的事情。我不是每周都去玩滑翔傘，就一次我覺得沒問題。
 
A: And do you have anything specific that you want to do in Africa?
 
如果去非洲，你有沒有特別想做的事？
 
B: No, it's just, there are so many, I think, myths about Africa. People tell you different stories. How they live, what they do, what the conditions are that I want to see it by myself. I know Africa it's really different because it's really big. It's really different among the countries but it has so many cultures that I really want to go and see it by myself.

A: Good. I hope you get the chance to do those three things before you die.
