A: Good, good, but, you know, I was wondering for me Ecuador and Colombia seem to be so the same. Can you tell me how can I distinguish them or what is the difference between Ecuador and Colombia?

B: Well I don't think, maybe OK let's say culture is pretty much the same but let's talk about people OK? Ecuadoreans and Colombians are different I think. Colombian people are more hard working people. They really, they really worry about working and earning a lot of money and stuff like that, you know. But Ecuadoreans are more like, you know, easy-going people so I think that's the main difference between them.
 
我不認(rèn)為……這樣說吧，兩個國家的文化差不多一樣，那咱們就來說說人吧？我認(rèn)為厄瓜多爾人和哥倫比亞人很不同。哥倫比亞人在工作上更努力。他們對工作和掙大錢之類的事情很關(guān)心。不過厄瓜多爾人則更悠閑隨和，我認(rèn)為這是兩國民眾之間最大的不同。
 
A: That is so interesting. What about climate or the cities or the nature? Is there any differences between Ecuador and Colombia?
 
這真有意思。那氣候、城市和自然風(fēng)景有什么不同？在這些方面厄瓜多爾和哥倫比亞有不同嗎？
 
B: Yes, you're right. The climate and environment is quite different. Well, there is one similarity and it's that they, both countries have their highlands which is the Andes highlands and the Amazon region and the coastal region but the size of the countries are different. Colombia is a huge country and also it has the Caribbean Sea which Ecuador doesn't have. And now if you look at Ecuador, Ecuador is quite a small country compared to Colombia.
 
有，你說得沒錯。兩國的氣候和環(huán)境非常不同。有一點很相似，兩個國家都有高原，也就是安第斯高原，兩國都位于亞馬遜地區(qū)，也都有沿海地區(qū)，但是兩國的面積不同。哥倫比亞是一個大國，有加勒比海，而厄瓜多爾并沒有。如果看厄瓜多爾地圖的話，你會發(fā)現(xiàn)和哥倫比亞比起來，厄瓜多爾是一個非常小的國家。
 
A: That is so interesting. What about some similarities? Is there any similarities between Ecuador and Colombia?
 
這真有趣。那相似點呢？厄瓜多爾和哥倫比亞有沒有什么相似點？
 
B: Well if you, yes there are many similarities. For example, if you look at the food, mainly the food is composed of, you know, potatoes and corn and many fruits that both countries have so if you travel to Colombia, if you travel to Ecuador, you will pretty much find the same kind of food because it's made of the same, from the same kind of ingredients.
 
有，兩國有很多相似的地方。比如，就食物來說，兩國的主要飲食都由土豆、玉米和兩國都有的水果烹飪而成，你去哥倫比亞和厄瓜多爾旅行的話，你會發(fā)現(xiàn)兩國的食物基本一樣，因為這些食物都是由同樣的配料烹飪而成的。
