A: Okay. So Meg, this week we're talking about just grooming habits and stuff. So let's go now to like out teeth. Now, the dentist says you should floss every day. Do you floss every day?
 
好。梅格，這周我們來討論裝扮習(xí)慣。我們先來說牙齒。牙醫(yī)說應(yīng)該每天都用牙線。那你會每天用牙線嗎？
 
B: Now, I do actually. I'm pretty consistent with it because a couple years back I had some cavity issues that I didn't want to go through again. And I wasn't good about flossing before that but the dentist said that if I flossed and used mouthwash regularly, probably it could be avoided. And so ever since then, really every day, I do it.
 
我的確在這樣做。我現(xiàn)在在按照牙醫(yī)的要求去做，因為幾年以前我長了蛀牙，我不想再經(jīng)歷一次。我以前不常用牙線，不過牙醫(yī)說，如果我定期用牙線和漱口水，可以預(yù)防蛀牙。所以從那時起，我就開始每天用牙線了。
 
A: Well that's good.

B: Yeah. What about you?

A: Well the dentist always says you should floss more. I'm pretty good about every other day. And then every now and then I'll get it on a binge, like, "Oh I'm going to floss every meal like I'm supposed to," but I'm pretty good. I brush my teeth twice a day. I know some people at work, I see them brushing after lunch. Are you one of those people that brushes their teeth three times a day?
 
牙醫(yī)經(jīng)常說，要多用牙線。我隔一天用一次牙線。我偶爾會大吃一頓，然后我會想：“我吃完飯就要用牙線，我就應(yīng)該這樣做”，不過我還好。我每天刷兩次牙。我看到有同事午飯后也刷牙。你是那種每天刷三次牙的人嗎？
 
B: No, I do twice a day also. Do you do morning and night?

A: Yeah. And actually, my dentist told me don't do it three times a day because if you do it too much, it could do damage to your gums. Plus, he said I was brushing my teeth too hard. So I was pushing my gums back.
 
對。其實，我的牙醫(yī)告訴我，不要一天刷三次牙，因為刷牙次數(shù)太多，會對牙齦造成損害。另外，他說我刷牙的時候太用力了。所以我的牙齦有些萎縮。
 
B: Yeah. I actually had the exact same experience. Earlier this year, I went to the dentist because I felt like I maybe had some cavities because I had sensitivity in my teeth, and I was also brushing too hard because I was working, so I really want them to be so clean. And so my gums also were receding a little bit.

A: Yeah, and so painful when it happens. You realize you have to reverse it, you know.

B: Yeah.

A: So what about the tongue scraper? Do you do little tongue scraper thing?

B: I don't have like a tongue scraper. I just kind of use my toothbrush and just brush it a little bit I guess. Do you use a tongue scraper?
 
我不喜歡用刮舌器。我一般就用牙刷稍微刮一下舌苔。你用刮舌器嗎？
 
A: I have one. I use it sometimes.
 
我有一個刮舌器。我偶爾會用。
 
B: Well how does it work? What does it do?
 
那要怎么用？那有作用嗎？
 
A: It's just you're raking leaves. You just put it in your mouth and you just scrape your tongue. And you do get some stuff that comes off of it and you're like, "Oh wow." But yeah.
 
就像掃落葉一樣。把刮舌器放進嘴里，然后刮舌頭。你的確可以刮下來一些東西，你會因為驚奇而發(fā)出“哇哦”的驚呼。就是這樣。
 
B: That sounds kind of gross actually.

A: It is a little bit gross, yeah.

B: But good for your mouth.

A: Yes, definitely good. Definitely good. So then the other thing I guess we can talk about is a shaving now. So I'm the guy, so I have the facial hair.

B: Right.
 
嗯。
 
A: But I'm pretty lucky. I only have to shave maybe twice a week.

B: Oh really?

A: I can get away with it, yeah.

B: Yeah.

A: Yeah. I don't have the full on manly beard thing that comes out, so.

B: Yeah, yeah. Some people have to shave like twice a day, so that seems like it would be inconvenient.

A: Yeah. So do you – I guess because you're a woman, do you have to do the legs thing?
 
對。你是女性，那你要刮腿毛嗎？
 
B: Yes, yes. I do shave my legs pretty much every time I take a shower.

A: Really?
 
真的嗎？
 
B: Yeah.

A: How annoying?
 
很煩人嗎？
 
B: Yeah. Well yeah, it is annoying. I actually really don't like it. I wish I didn't have to do it. And I mean, I guess I could choose to stop, but I'd rather do it. So yeah.
 
對，很煩人。實際上我不喜歡刮腿毛。我希望我不用刮腿毛。我的意思是，也許我可以選擇不刮腿毛，可是我寧愿去做。就是這樣。
 
A: Wow.
 
哇哦。
 
B: Usually every time I take a shower because then if you're wearing a skirt or shorts, it's visible. So yeah, I'm just trying to be careful.
 
因為穿短裙或短褲的時候會看到，所以我每次洗澡的時候會刮腿毛。我會盡量小心一些。
 
A: Wow. Honestly from a guy's perspective, when I look and I think about women shaving basically their calves below their knees, it looks like it'd be very easy to cut yourself because your legs are kind of hard, do you know what I mean?
 
哇哦。說實話，從男性的角度來看，我看到或者說想到女生刮膝蓋下面的小腿的毛時，我認(rèn)為你們很容易劃傷自己，因為我認(rèn)為腿上的毛很難刮，你懂我的意思嗎？
 
B: Yeah. Yeah. I think for the calves, it's not so bad because it's kind of a straight – it's more smooth, but the knee part, you have to be careful.
 
我明白。其實小腿的毛不太難刮，因為小腿是直的，而且也更光滑，但是在刮膝蓋上的毛時一定要小心。
 
A: Right, yeah.
 
對。
 
B: Because it's like a shape, and the ankles and feet.
 
因為膝蓋的形狀所以有些困難，而且腳踝和腳上的毛也很難刮。
 
A: Yeah. That's like for guys our problem is right under the chin and then the Adam's apple. The Adam's apple is brutal because you kind of have to go around it, so it's very easy to cut yourself.
 
對。就好像我們男人，下巴下面和喉結(jié)位置的胡子很難刮。喉結(jié)上的胡子很難刮，因為你要圍繞喉結(jié)刮，所以很容易會劃傷自己。
 
B: Yeah. Do you use an electric razor?

A: No, I should. I'm very environmentally unfriendly. I use those plastic razors because they're just so easy.

B: Yeah.

A: And actually, I kind of get away with it because of the gym I go to. They offer it. They have free razors in the men's room. So I just do it there, save a few bucks.

B: Yeah, might as well.

A: Yeah, interesting. Well anyway, I guess we're somewhat healthy.

B: Yeah. We're clean at least.
