在新加坡哪些動(dòng)物正遭受威脅

A: We're from Singapore. The question today is what is being threatened in our country?

B: I assume this refers to animals, and as of now I really can't think of any. The Singapore is doing a pretty good job, but in the past...

我認(rèn)為是動(dòng)物。除此之外，目前我想不到其他的。新加坡現(xiàn)在做得非常好，但是以前……
 
A: We had tigers ...

我們有老虎。
 
B: But they're all gone now, except for at the zoo. We had quite a few species of snakes like grass snakes, but we don't see them around much now. Hopefully, some household pests like cockroaches, ants, maybe they'll be extinct soon. Then we could all have a more comfortable and less fearful lives. Any animals that you wanna see be threatened?

但是現(xiàn)在除了動(dòng)物園，野外已經(jīng)看不到老虎了。我們曾有很多種蛇，比如草蛇，但現(xiàn)在也不常見了。我希望蟑螂、螞蟻等對家庭有害的動(dòng)物不久后也能滅絕。這樣我們就能擁有更舒適而且擔(dān)心更少的生活了。有沒有什么動(dòng)物是你希望遭受威脅的？

B: I don't know.

A: That's not politically correct.

從政治上來說那并不正確。
 
B: Yeah, but I'm not a big fan of all animals. Dogs and cats, they're still alright but the big ones are scary ones.

對，不過我并不是所有動(dòng)物都喜歡。狗和貓之類的動(dòng)物還好，但是大型動(dòng)物很可怕。
 
A: I think some bats, and some birds and some insects are being threatened in Singapore. But we don't hear much about them.

我認(rèn)為新加坡有一些蝙蝠、鳥類和昆蟲處于威脅之中。不過我們很少聽到它們的消息。
 
B: So I guess they are still doing fine.
