A: Hello, this is Diego from Mexico.

B: Hello, this is Silvia from Guatemala.

A: And today I'm going to ask Silvia if she has ever been stopped by the police.
今天我要問(wèn)西爾維婭的問(wèn)題是，她有沒(méi)有被警察攔停過(guò)？
 
B: Yes, I've been stopped by the police, and actually... No the thing is in Guatemala we have checkpoints. They wanna see if you have your driver's license. You know, if it's not expired or anything and that day, guess what?

A: You didn't have your driver's license.

B: I grabbed another wallet, and I was running to go someplace, so I grabbed an empty wallet, so I had no ID, no driver's license, no money.

A: That's a very bad combination.

B: And they stopped me and asked for my driver's license, and I looked for it and I didn't have it.

A: And what did you do?

B: I just told him, really, I'm 25. I have an driver's license. And so, "You don't look 25".

B: "What's your driver's license number?" I have no idea. "What's the letter in the beginning of your driver's license?" We have like some letters, and it's for the type of license you have, and I had no idea what he was talking about, because the way he said it, I didn't realize he was asking for the type. He said, "What's the first letter?" And I was thinking OK, maybe it's a combination of numbers and letters, and so he gave me a ticket.
他問(wèn)我“你的駕照號(hào)碼是多少？”可是我不記得。他又問(wèn)“你駕照的首字母是什么？”我們國(guó)家的駕照類型以首字母區(qū)分，可我不知道他在說(shuō)什么，因?yàn)樗儐?wèn)的方式，我沒(méi)有理解是在問(wèn)我駕照類型。他說(shuō)：“首字母是什么？”我以為駕照號(hào)碼可能包括數(shù)字和字母，之后他就給我開(kāi)了張罰單。
 
A: Oh, was it expensive?

B: Yes, of course it was expensive. So I never get stopped and the day I got stopped, I didn't have my driver's license.

A: That's a really bad experience.
