天賦和努力都會(huì)發(fā)揮作用，你認(rèn)為哪個(gè)更重要

A: Okay. So Viyasan, what do you think is the most important, hard work or talent? Or what is more useful?
好。維亞森，你認(rèn)為努力和天賦哪個(gè)最重要？或者說(shuō)哪個(gè)更有用？
 
B: Hm. That's an interesting question, because I think they both play a role in whatever task that you're doing, but personally, I think that hard work is more important than talent. And I'll give you a couple examples of why I feel hard work is more important.
嗯。這是個(gè)有趣的問(wèn)題，我認(rèn)為無(wú)論你從事什么工作，努力和天賦都會(huì)發(fā)揮作用，不過(guò)我個(gè)人認(rèn)為努力比天賦更重要。我會(huì)舉幾個(gè)例子，來(lái)說(shuō)明我認(rèn)為努力更重要的原因。
 
I think in order to master any skill, whether it's singing, whether it's dancing, whether it's performing well at a task, you need to stay focused on the task at hand. And some people are naturally good at that task. For example, if I'm really quick at typing on the computer, I'll be able to print out multiple spread sheets, complete a lot of work and finish my assignments faster.
我認(rèn)為，為了掌握任何技能，無(wú)論是唱歌、跳舞還是出色完成任務(wù)，都需要集中注意力處理手頭的工作。有些人天生就擅長(zhǎng)處理這種工作。比如，如果我很擅長(zhǎng)電腦打字，那我就能快速打印出多份電子表格、完成大量工作和任務(wù)。
 
However, I believe to really go above and beyond and master that skill, with that talent, hard work needs to be attributed as well. Without hard work, even if you're at typing on the computer, you might not want to feel like typing on a computer, you might be lazy and you just might not want to do that task.
但是，我認(rèn)為要想更上一層樓，掌握這種技能，除了天賦之外，還需要努力。如果不勤奮努力，那即使你擅長(zhǎng)電腦打字，那你可能也不想打字，你會(huì)犯懶，不想做那個(gè)任務(wù)。
 
But hard work trains you to become good at a task, and do it very well, master it, and become efficient with your time. And so that's why I think hard work outweighs talent, because I think there's more dedication in hard work, there's regimen in the hard work, and once you've mastered hard work in a specific skill, I think you can master it a lot more easier than someone who is naturally talented at that task.
而勤奮努力幫助你精通一項(xiàng)任務(wù)，幫助你出色地完成任務(wù)并掌握技能，而且能有效利用時(shí)間。這就是我認(rèn)為努力比天賦重要的原因，因?yàn)榕σ度敫啵€能鍛煉人，一旦你通過(guò)努力掌握了特定技能，那我相信你會(huì)比有天賦的人更易完成任務(wù)。
 
A: Yeah. I definitely agree. I think you pretty much summed it up though.

A: But yeah, I agree that hard work is more important than talent, and you could be very talented, but if you don't have the work ethic, then it doesn't really matter. Or especially if we're thinking about getting jobs. So, yeah, hard work definitely is more important.
我同意努力比天賦更重要這一看法，你可能極具天賦，但是如果你沒(méi)有職業(yè)精神，那也不會(huì)有太大作為。特別是，想想找工作這件事。努力絕對(duì)更重要。
