實(shí)用英語(yǔ)對(duì)話:臨床試驗(yàn)

洋洋：心濤，你看上去怎么那么沒(méi)精神吶。

心濤：我沒(méi)事。我參加了一個(gè)臨床試驗(yàn)，藥物的副作用真讓人難受。

洋洋：啊？你是說(shuō)你去給人當(dāng)小白鼠，讓他們?cè)谀闵砩显囼?yàn)新藥？

心濤：差不多，但沒(méi)你想得那么可怕。他們說(shuō)試點(diǎn)研究的前幾個(gè)星期有可能會(huì)出現(xiàn)不適反應(yīng)。現(xiàn)在我才明白，為什么只有一小部分志愿者參加。只有通過(guò)試驗(yàn)，制藥公司才能判斷藥物的實(shí)際療效如何，之后再大規(guī)模進(jìn)行生產(chǎn)。

洋洋：你怎么不擔(dān)心這種新藥對(duì)身體產(chǎn)生傷害呢？

心濤：他們這個(gè)藥已經(jīng)在人體上試驗(yàn)很多次了，據(jù)說(shuō)這是最后一次試驗(yàn)，即使有傷害，我覺(jué)得也不嚴(yán)重。而且，是藥三分毒嘛。

洋洋：話雖如此，我還是覺(jué)得這樣去當(dāng)小白鼠挺危險(xiǎn)的。你看你，現(xiàn)在看起來(lái)多沒(méi)精神??！

 

 

Yangyang: Xintao, why do you look so down?

Xintao: Never mind. I participated in a clinical test and the side effect of the medicine makes me uncomfortable.

 

Yangyang: Ah? You mean you make yourself a laboratory rat and let them test the new medicine on you?

 

Xintao: Pretty much. It’s not that scary. They said I probably would feel uncomfortable in the several weeks of the research. Now I realize why only minority of people would participate in it. Only through test, pharmaceutical companies could judge the effectiveness of the medicine and make mass production.

 

Yangyang: How come you don’t worry about the harm of the new medicine to your body?

 

Xintao: This new medicine is tested on human body several times. It’s said this is the last test. I don’t think it would be severe even if there is harm. What’s more, there is a famous saying goes like this: as a medicine, it is more or less toxic.

 

Yangyang: However, I still think it’s dangerous to be a laboratory rat. Look at you, you are haggard.
