休閑對話：最牛釘子戶逼開發(fā)商改大樓設計

Lily: Hey, Ann, look at this picture, what do you think of it?

嘿，安，你看這幅圖，你覺得怎樣?

Ann: Not bad, but why is there a small old house in the centre?

不錯啊，可是為什么中間有間破舊房屋。

Lily: This old house belonged to an old woman. Before seting up this business building, the developers can give one million dollars to her on condition that she should move away,but the woman still didn’t accept.

這間屋子是一個孤寡老人的。在建商業(yè)大廈前，開發(fā)商答應給她100萬美元，條件是她必須搬走，但她始終不答應。

Ann: Why? Was she silly?Just leaving the old house, she can buy a new one with the one million dollars.

為什么?她傻了嗎?離開那，她可以帶著100萬去買間新的啊。

Lily: I don’t think so, I think the house must be full of her emotion, so she refused.

我不這么認為，我想她與那房子感情深厚，所以她拒絕了。

Ann: May be, and then what did the cevelopers do?

也許是。那開發(fā)商后來怎么辦?

Lily: They just modified the design drawing temporarily, and kept the old house inside.

開發(fā)商只好臨時修改圖紙，在房子外圍建設。

Ann: How kind they are! America is far from China on dealing with the nail households.

他們真好。在處理釘子戶的事情上，美國遠遠不同于中國。

Lily: I can’t agree with you any more.

我完全同意。

Ann: Alright, let’s stop it, it is time to dinner.
