　　B: Would you like to stretch your legs?

　　D: Good idea. We have enough time to go around in the intermission.

　　B: Yes. How do you like this concert?

　　D: I was carried away by the music. You know. I am a big fan of classic music.

　　B: Yeah, classic music can pure one's mind and stirs up one's imagination.

　　D: Indeed, the acoustics here are great. Do you like the conductor?

　　B: Yes, I am crazy about him, and I have collected many CDs of his performance.

　　D: Me too! He and the orchestra are perfect-matched!

　　B: Absolutely right! The audience were stunned by their performance. They really make a hit tonight.

　　連讀中的注意事項(xiàng)

　　“I was carried away by the performance.”一句中的“carried away"發(fā)生了連讀現(xiàn)象，這是因?yàn)閮稍~相鄰，且符合連讀的規(guī)則，即前一個(gè)詞以輔音結(jié)尾，后一個(gè)詞議元音開頭。但是，連讀必須注意以下兩點(diǎn)：

　　1.連讀必須在同一個(gè)意群中進(jìn)行。所謂意群，就是意思相關(guān)的一組詞，如“carried away”屬于一個(gè)短語(yǔ)，處在同一個(gè)意群，并符合連讀規(guī)則，所以可以連讀。否則，即使符合連讀規(guī)則，但不在一個(gè)意群，也不能連讀。如：

　　Shall we meet at nine tonight or eight tomorrow?

　　我們今晚九點(diǎn)見還是明天八點(diǎn)?

　　這句中的“tonight竹與“or”不屬于一個(gè)意群，雖符合連讀規(guī)則，但不能連讀。

　　2.如果連讀會(huì)造成聽話人的誤解，即使符合連讀規(guī)則也不能連讀。如：

　　There is an answer.

　　這就是答案。

　　這句話中如果“an"與“answer”連讀，會(huì)令人誤聽為announcer.所以不能連讀。
