A: I really want to get to know John, but I can never start a conversation. Do you know what he’s into?

B: I think his thing is race cars. He is always talking about them. And, he knows his way around a race track.

A: He does seem to know what it’s all about.

B: I think racing is boring, but that’s his thing, not mine!

A: 我很想認(rèn)識(shí)John，但是卻不知道一開始該跟他談些什么。你知道他對(duì)什么感興趣嗎？

B: 他好像最喜歡賽車。他常談起賽車，而且凡是和賽車有關(guān)的事他好像都知道。

A: 他好像對(duì)賽車方面很在行。

B: 我覺得賽車很沒勁，那是他的玩意兒，我可不喜歡！

【語言點(diǎn)精講】

what one’s into: 用來指某人的愛好、嗜好。

one’s thing: 用來指某人的興趣所在，并且他/她在這方面也是很擅長(zhǎng)的。

know one’s way around sp./sth.: 指某人對(duì)某地點(diǎn)或事物非常的熟悉。

race track: 賽車場(chǎng)，賽馬場(chǎng)。
