A: She has a certain aptitude for math. When she was a teenager, she was already taking college level math courses.

B: I know! She really has made a lot of accomplishments in the field and her adeptness is amazing.

A: I think she was born with the ability to solve math problems. I myself have toiled year in and year out just to achieve the minimum adequacy.

B: Well, her brilliance in the field of math is rare. You shouldn't compare yourself to her!

A: 她很有數(shù)學(xué)天賦，十幾歲的時(shí)候就上大學(xué)級(jí)別的數(shù)學(xué)課了。

B: 是呀！她在這個(gè)領(lǐng)域確實(shí)取得了很多成績(jī)，她的數(shù)學(xué)才能真是令人驚異。

A: 我想她天生就擅長(zhǎng)解數(shù)學(xué)題。我自己努力了多年才達(dá)到最起碼的程度。

B: 她那樣的數(shù)學(xué)才華是很少見的，你不該拿自己跟她比！

【語(yǔ)言點(diǎn)精講】

aptitude: 才能，天資。

accomplishment: 指通過培訓(xùn)或教育或得的技能、成就、成績(jī)。

adeptness: 由技能和培訓(xùn)相結(jié)合而產(chǎn)生的能力；熟練，內(nèi)行。

adequacy: 足夠的能力。它的英文釋義是ability that is sufficient but no more than sufficient.

brilliance: 天賦，尤指非后天習(xí)得的才華或能力。

year in and year out: 年復(fù)一年地；不斷地，始終。
