1. weigh: 考慮，斟酌。例如：

The teacher told him to weigh this matter patiently.

老師讓他耐心考慮這事。

2. make love to: 向……示愛。例如：

There was moonlight on the roses and he made love to her in the porch swing.

月光照著玫瑰，他在門廊秋千上對她示愛。

3. spare: 避免。例如：

Your joke spared her needless embarrassment.

你的笑話解除了她不必要的焦慮。

4. blurt it out: 沖口而出。例如：

You can't just blurt it out over coffee.

你總不能喝咖啡時就突然脫口而出吧。

5. telegraph: 打電報給……。例如：

He telegraphed me to go to the party.

他發(fā)電報要我去參加那個聚會。

6. too happy for words: 高興得說不出話來。
