陳豪這個小伙子在ABC美國公司做得不錯。今天老板又給他一個重要的\任務(wù)。 是什么任務(wù)呢？ 你聽聽就知道了。

(Office ambience)

C：Hi, Mary. Do you have a minute? I need your help.

M：Sure. What is it?

C：公司的部幾位高層領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人這星期從美國到這里來訪問。我的老板讓我今天晚上陪其中的一位，Mr. Johnson去參加我們客戶舉行的招待會。

M：Well, aren't you flattered that your boss asked you to do that?

C：Yes, I am. 不過，去招待會我就得把Mr. Johnson介紹給我們的客戶和在場的其他公司的同事。 I 'm not confident that I can do it correctly.

C：讓我試一試。要是客戶的名字是Smith，我該說：Mr. Smith, I would like to introduce you to Mr. Johnson。對嗎？

M：No, 不對。你應(yīng)該說：Mr. Smith, I would like to introduce Mr. Johnson to you。要是你把我介紹給Mr. Johnson你該怎么說？

C：我該說：Mr. Johnson, I would like to introduce Mary to you.

M：That' correct。這里的差別似乎很微妙，但是很重要。我們再來復(fù)習(xí)一遍。

C：OK。 Rule #1，always introduce people of lesser rank to people of greater rank。

M：對，要是我把你陳豪介紹給Mr. Johnson, 我該說：Mr. Johnson, I would like to introduce Chen Hao to you。

C：這已經(jīng)符合Rule #2: say the name of the most important person first。
