impossible ：不可理喻

e.g. <1>Your cat is simply impossible. He always runs around scratching things and does not listen to me.

         你的貓簡(jiǎn)直不可理喻。他總是到處跑，亂抓一氣，也不聽(tīng)我的話。

      <2>This science course is impossible! I will never get an A.

            科學(xué)課簡(jiǎn)直不可理喻，我永遠(yuǎn)拿不到A的成績(jī)。

1.劇中： Mark my words.

mark my words：我擔(dān)保

e.g. <1>The Houston Rocket will beat the Lakers. Mark my words.

            休斯頓火箭頓會(huì)打敗湖人。我擔(dān)保。

<2>You can mark my words. He will never return.

        我跟你擔(dān)保，他不會(huì)回來(lái)了。

2.  劇中：You will pay for this insolence.

pay for ：為什么付出代價(jià)

pay off ：得到報(bào)償，一般用被動(dòng) paid off

pay back ：歸還

e.g. <1>He will pay for his crime in prison.

            他會(huì)為了他的罪行去坐牢的。

      <2>My hard work was paid off and I got the position.

          我努力工作終于得到報(bào)償了，我得到了這個(gè)職位。

3.  劇中：Seal off the area, men.

seal something off： 封鎖

e.g. <1>The workmen sealed this area off so they could do some construction.

              工人已經(jīng)把這個(gè)地段封鎖起來(lái)，便于施工。

      <2>When some chemicals leaked, the entire factory had to be sealed off.
