性情刻薄、冷酷的守財(cái)奴埃比尼澤•斯克魯奇(金•凱瑞 Jim Carrey 配音)，在圣誕節(jié)來臨之際，卻厭惡一切慶祝活動(dòng)，還拒絕了侄子弗萊德(科林•費(fèi)斯 Colin Firth 配音)的盛情邀請(qǐng)。

讓埃比尼澤想象不到的是，七年前去世的合伙人約瑟夫•馬利的鬼魂居然找上門來。約瑟夫看上去備受煎熬，因?yàn)樗獮樗暗臒o情與冷漠付出代價(jià)。約瑟夫希望埃比尼澤不要走上自己的老路，并警告埃比尼澤將會(huì)有三個(gè)幽靈來拜訪他。

本片改編自查爾斯•狄更斯創(chuàng)作于1843年的同名小說，本片是迪士尼第一部將以IMAX 3D方式發(fā)行的影片，影片中的人物表情都是通過“表演捕捉”完成的。
