《鋼鐵俠3》：打破“續(xù)集魔咒”

導(dǎo)讀：《鋼鐵俠》系列電影一直受到廣大影迷的喜愛(ài)。好萊塢大片的續(xù)集往往并不討好，但從目前各方的評(píng)論來(lái)看，《鋼鐵俠3》算是躲過(guò)了“狗尾續(xù)貂”之嫌。

“Third time lucky,” they say, but a third installment in a movie franchise is usually synonymous with a reputation crisis.

常言道“第三次運(yùn)氣會(huì)好的”，但一部系列電影的第三部續(xù)集卻通常等同于敗壞聲名之作。

Iron Man 3 conquers the curse of the number three in a novel way: It pretty much takes Iron Man out of the equation. He’s in there, obviously, but the billionaire industrialist Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) doesn’t spend much time in his computerized suit.

《鋼鐵俠3》出奇制勝，打破了這個(gè)“3”的魔咒：影片在很大程度上對(duì)鋼鐵俠本身關(guān)注不多。沒(méi)錯(cuò)，鋼鐵俠還在，但這位身家過(guò)億的實(shí)業(yè)家托尼•斯塔克(小羅伯特•唐尼飾演)并沒(méi)有花太多時(shí)間在他那身智能盔甲上。

Another innovative move by director Shane Black―especially for Chinese audiences ― is the cameo appearances of local movie stars Fan Bingbing and Wang Xueqi. Since their characters are totallynegligible, all I have to say about them is, well, they’re in the movie.

The movie begins with a flashback, in which Stark tells his story, explaining how his bad behavior created the demons that would change his life. Back in the present, Stark still feels the psychologicalaftermath of traveling through a wormhole and nuking a bunch of aliens before falling back to Earth ― the final sequence in last year’s blockbuster The Avengers.

影片開頭是一段倒敘，斯塔克講述著自己的經(jīng)歷，解釋如何犯下錯(cuò)誤，并制造出一群可能令其改變終生的怪物。鏡頭閃回到現(xiàn)在，斯塔克仍對(duì)自己穿越時(shí)空裂洞、與一群外星人展開核武器大戰(zhàn)并最終回到地球的經(jīng)歷心有余悸——這正是去年的好萊塢大片《復(fù)仇者聯(lián)盟》中的大結(jié)局。

Black’s excellent idea is to kick Stark out of his comfort zone. Like I mentioned, Stark is often seen fighting without his Iron Man suit. Instead, he wears a Google Glass-like remote control, giving orders to his Iron Man team.

布萊克的高明之處就在于將斯塔克踢出個(gè)人“舒適區(qū)”。正如我在前面提到的，銀幕上的斯塔克作戰(zhàn)時(shí)往往不會(huì)穿著鋼鐵戰(zhàn)衣。相反，他總是戴著一副類似谷歌眼鏡的遠(yuǎn)程控制器來(lái)向自己的鋼鐵俠戰(zhàn)隊(duì)發(fā)號(hào)施令。

But, curiously, it’s the superhero part of this superhero movie that feels the weakest. The plot makes no sense, the villain’s motivations are far-fetched, his evil scheme unnecessary, and (spoiler alert), in the end Iron Man is saved by his girlfriend Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow).

但奇怪的是，這部超級(jí)英雄影片最薄弱的地方恰恰正是超級(jí)英雄的戲份。情節(jié)不知所云，反派動(dòng)機(jī)太過(guò)牽強(qiáng)，其邪惡詭計(jì)也顯得可有可無(wú)，并且(此處涉及劇透)，最后救了鋼鐵俠的居然是他的女友“小辣椒”——佩普•波茨(格溫妮絲•帕特洛飾演)。

Luckily, however, the movie functions well as a comedy. In fact, I’d rather describe it as a comedy with a superhero plot. There are plenty of laughs to get from Stark’s knowing one-liners and the other supporting characters. Ben Kingsley’s performance as The Mandarin, the villain, is a particular highlight of the movie.

然而值得慶幸的是，作為一部喜劇，影片還是成功的。事實(shí)上，我更愿意稱之為有超級(jí)英雄情節(jié)的喜劇片。斯塔克的精明小笑話以及各路配角都使得該片笑料十足。本•金斯利飾演的大反派“滿大人”成為該片的最大亮點(diǎn)。

Two sequels later, it’s true that the once simple and straightforward story of the first Iron Man has become so laden with baggage that it loses sight of itself. Then again, watching Iron Man is not about figuring out riddles like in Inception. All you need to do is put on your 3-D glasses, sit back and enjoy the action. That’s a good enough reason for the movie to have become a successful franchise.

的確，在兩部續(xù)集之后，第一部《鋼鐵俠》中那種簡(jiǎn)單而直白的劇情如今已面目全非。但話又說(shuō)回來(lái)，看《鋼鐵俠》并不是要像看《盜夢(mèng)空間》那樣剝開層層謎團(tuán)。你要做的就是戴好3D眼鏡、坐在座位上來(lái)享受這部動(dòng)作巨制就好了。就憑這點(diǎn)，足以使得該片成為一部成功的電影續(xù)集。
