約翰：昨天的派對(duì)怎么樣？你喜歡嗎？
John: How was the party last night? Did you enjoy it?

邁克：噢，別提了！我從未參加過(guò)這樣糟糕的派對(duì)。
Mike: Oh, don’t talk to me about last night! It was the most awful evening I’ve ever had,

約翰：為什么么？發(fā)生什么事了？
John: Why? What happened?

邁克：瑪麗答應(yīng)與我赴約，她卻失約。我在冷風(fēng)中等了她整整一個(gè)小時(shí)。
Mike: Well. Mary had promised to be my date, but she stood me up. I waited for her for a full hour in the cold wind.

約翰：晚會(huì)怎么樣？
John: What about the party?

邁克：太沒(méi)趣了。音樂(lè)太慢，食物太差，而且老是跟那些熟面孔在一起，我真是煩透了。
Mike: It was boring. The music was too slow and the food was lousy and, above all. I was really sick of the same old crowd all the time.

約翰：你玩了多長(zhǎng)時(shí)間？
John: So how long did you stay?

邁克：開(kāi)場(chǎng)舞會(huì)后，我就離開(kāi)了，真是迫不及待地離開(kāi)那兒。
Mike: I left after the opening dance. I couldn’t wait to get out of there.
