Pavilion Features

With actors attired in palace garb and Olympic sportswear, Beijing will hold a dress parade around the Expo site during the Beijing Week, from May 4 to 8. Charming Beijing will be represented by dramatic changes instead of single and static forms. Around 200 actors will dress in different styles of clothes that can be seen at 16 famous venues of the city, including the Forbidden City and the Beijing National Stadium, or Bird's Nest and Water Cube. An opening ceremony for the Beijing Week in front of the joint provincial pavilion on the morning of May 4 will be "as exciting as the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics. During that week, Beijing craftsmen will perform folk arts, including paper-cutting and clay sculpture, around the Expo site. Meanwhile, people will appreciate the film named "Charming Capital" by director Zhang Yimou, introducing Beijing's attractions and showing the competitive strength of Beijing.

北京的神韻，無法用單一靜態(tài)的形象去表達，首都的魅力正在于它日新月異的變化。天壇、水立方、國家大劇院、鳥巢……變幻的展館造型，充分演繹出北京充滿人文、科技、綠色的城市魅力。在這里可以聽到北京胡同中發(fā)生的故事，看到中華第一街——長安街的實時畫面，觀賞張藝謀執(zhí)導的精彩影片《魅力首都》。其新穎的展示技術、別有情趣的參觀方式多角度地展示北京充滿活力、富有魅力、具有競爭力的國際城市形象。
