Emblem: On November 30, 2004, the emblem for Expo 2010 Shanghai China was officially unveiled.

Inspired by the shape of the calligraphic creation of the Chinese character "世" (meaning the world), the emblem depicting the image of three people—you , me ,him/he holding hands together, symbolizes the big family o mankind in harmony and happiness ,and conveys the concept of the World Expo of “Understanding, Communication, Gathering and Cooperation”. It exemplifies Expo 2010’s focus on the humanistic values.

會(huì)徽：2004年11月30日，中國(guó)2010年上海世博會(huì)的會(huì)徽正式揭曉。會(huì)徽以中國(guó)漢字“世”字書(shū)法創(chuàng)意為性，“世”字圖形意寓三人合臂相擁，狀似美滿幸福、相攜同樂(lè)的家庭，也可抽象為“你、我、他”廣義的人類對(duì)美好和諧的生活追求，表達(dá)世博會(huì)“理解、溝通、歡聚、合作”的理念和中國(guó)2010年上海世博會(huì)以人為本的積極追求。

Mascot: The mascot for Expo 2010 Shanghai China, "Haibao",officially debuted at the night on

December 18,2007.Created from the Chinese character "人" (meaning people),the mascot embodies the character of Chinese culture and echoes with the designing concept of the emblem of Expo 2010. Using the Chinese character as the mascot of an international event is an innovation.

吉祥物：2007年12月18日晚，中國(guó)2010年上海世博會(huì)的吉祥物“海寶”（Haibao）正式誕生。以漢字的“人”作為核心創(chuàng)意，既反映了中國(guó)文化的特色又呼應(yīng)了上海世博會(huì)會(huì)徽的設(shè)計(jì)理念。在國(guó)際大型活動(dòng)吉祥物設(shè)計(jì)中率先使用文字作為吉祥物設(shè)計(jì)的創(chuàng)意是一次創(chuàng)新。
