G: it’s instantaneously. the manufactoer received the scaned information ,he produces a pair of washed denim jeans size 32 with button fly and overnights them to the store.

G: they keep up on top of fasion changes.

G: why real time?
T: bar codes enable us to check events as they happen
G: like the objects have been sold?

G: you mean if they pay by credit card we also have lots of demographic informaiton about them
T: age, sex, monthly purchses ,you have it all in real life .
