61. People should undertake risky action only after they have carefully considered its consequences.
Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you aGREe or disaGREe with the recommendation and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, describe specific circumstances in which adopting the recommendation would or would not be advantageous and explain how these examples shape your position.
點(diǎn)評(píng)：相對(duì)來(lái)說(shuō)，算高頻，top15吧，意為人們?cè)趶氖挛ｋU(xiǎn)活動(dòng)之前應(yīng)該認(rèn)真地考慮一下后果。這個(gè)可能不太好寫，我稍微列下提綱：
1) 想象后果之后會(huì)對(duì)這樣做的價(jià)值有一個(gè)判斷，從而決定是否要做 (考慮會(huì)造成的危害)
2) 想象后果之后可以對(duì)自己的行動(dòng)有一個(gè)更好的計(jì)劃，提高行動(dòng)效率 (考慮后帶來(lái)的好處種種)
3) 但后果考慮得太多容易錯(cuò)過(guò)機(jī)會(huì)或因壓力導(dǎo)致失敗。
當(dāng)然同學(xué)們也可以有另外的見(jiàn)解，見(jiàn)仁見(jiàn)智吧。

點(diǎn)評(píng)：這道題其實(shí)跟ISSUE中的16/86/114/115一樣，在考試頻率上是ISSUE最高頻的題目，考場(chǎng)上碰到了應(yīng)該是不陌生的。這道題比較簡(jiǎn)單，正反面都說(shuō)到就OK了。

60. The following appeared in a letter from a firm providing investment advice to a client.
"Homes in the northeastern United States, where winters are typically cold, have traditionally used oil as their major fuel for heating. Last year that region experienced twenty days with below-average temperatures, and local weather forecasters throughout the region predict that this weather pattern will continue for several more years. Furthermore, many new homes have been built in this region during the past year. Because of these developments, we predict an increased demand for heating oil and recommend investment in Consolidated Industries, one of whose major business operations is the retail sale of home heating oil."
Write a response in which you discuss what specific evidence is needed to evaluate the argument and explain how the evidence would weaken or strengthen the argument.
在冬季非常寒冷的美國(guó)東北部的房屋，一直都使用傳統(tǒng)的油料作為采暖的主要燃料。去年該地區(qū)經(jīng)歷了90天低于往年平均氣溫的嚴(yán)寒，并且氣象預(yù)測(cè)家們預(yù)測(cè)這種天氣會(huì)持續(xù)未來(lái)數(shù)年。而且，去年本地建造了很多的房屋。按此趨勢(shì)，我們預(yù)測(cè)對(duì)于油料的需求將會(huì)增加. 所以我們建議對(duì)CI公司投資，該公司的主要業(yè)務(wù)之一就是家用采暖油料的零售。
點(diǎn)評(píng)：這道題無(wú)需多說(shuō)，作文ARGU中，最高頻的題目木有之一，沒(méi)做過(guò)真的要打PP了。下面我們稍微列下提綱：
1) 90多天的冬季看似很久，可以以前的天氣情況沒(méi)有提，要是一般的冬季都比這個(gè)時(shí)間長(zhǎng)的話，那么這個(gè)冬天就是暖冬了，自然油料的使用量可能就不會(huì)提高，相反還會(huì)下降，而且泛泛的指出是在零下，沒(méi)有說(shuō)零下多少度，要是很冷的溫度只持續(xù)了一小段時(shí)間，而大多數(shù)的時(shí)間都是比零度低一點(diǎn)點(diǎn)的話，那么溫度總體上還是提高的，油料也是沒(méi)有用處的。
2) 很多的住宅新建起來(lái)，不見(jiàn)得很多人都會(huì)立刻搬進(jìn)去居住，可能是房子的質(zhì)量不好，也可能是人們的工資負(fù)擔(dān)不起那里昂貴的房?jī)r(jià)> 又或者交通不便利，環(huán)境不好等因素。
3) 這個(gè)公司是零售的，而那里的人們，小區(qū)什么的都是承包給大的集團(tuán)公司，他們這樣的小公司可能沒(méi)有市場(chǎng)。
76. The following appeared in a newsletter offering advice to investors.
"Over 80 percent of the respondents to a recent survey indicated a desire to reduce their intake of foods containing fats and cholesterol, and today low-fat products abound in many food stores. Since many of the food products currently marketed by Old Dairy Industries are high in fat and cholesterol, the company ' s sales are likely to diminish GREatly and company profits will no doubt decrease. We therefore advise Old Dairy stockholders to sell their shares, and other investors not to purchase stock in this company. "

最近一次調(diào)查中超過(guò)80%的回應(yīng)者表達(dá)了他們想減少含脂肪和膽固醇的食品的愿望，現(xiàn)在很多食品商店都提供豐富的低脂肪食品。由于Old Dairy Industries當(dāng)前生產(chǎn)的很多產(chǎn)品都有很高的脂肪和膽固醇含量，該公司的銷量有可能嚴(yán)重下降，其盈利無(wú)疑會(huì)減少。因而我們建議Old Dairy的貢持有者拋出他們所持的股份，其他投資者也不應(yīng)購(gòu)買該公司的股份。
點(diǎn)評(píng)：這道題相對(duì)一般，不算冷門，也不算熱門，所幸中國(guó)考生ARGU也不差，這道題難度不大。
1) 調(diào)查的問(wèn)題，全面否，充分否，80%的數(shù)字問(wèn)題，調(diào)查對(duì)象，愿望不代表會(huì)去做，可能意志薄弱，最終抗拒不了。
2) 沒(méi)有支持詳細(xì)的證據(jù)證明Old Dairy的價(jià)格會(huì)下降以及盈利會(huì)減少，畢竟食品業(yè)只是這個(gè)公司眾多產(chǎn)業(yè)中的一個(gè)分支。
3) 作者沒(méi)有考慮其他因素：Old Dairy近期的發(fā)展計(jì)劃;價(jià)格上的差異，本公司的比較便宜，且容量比較大。
3. 作文總結(jié)：
這次考試依然是兩個(gè)組合：ISSUE 61 + ARGU 60或者ISSUE 50 + ARGU 76，應(yīng)該來(lái)說(shuō)部分考生經(jīng)歷了3月9號(hào)黑暗的作文冷門組合ISSUE 105 + ARGU 38之后，3月23號(hào)回歸平穩(wěn)，沒(méi)有考到冷門題目，而且ISSUE跟ARGU最高頻的題目也都分別考到了。
