Recently，a survey has been conducted among high school students on “whether it is good to wear school uniforms”．According to the result，there is no consensus among students as to this topic in that both advantages as well as disadvantages exist．

When it comes to the positive aspects，voices always fall into two categories．On one hand，considering different family economic conditions，a general style of clothing is certain to avoid some wealthy students showing off on campus．Without school uniforms，chances are that teenagers with fashionable dressing will feel superior to those whose family cannot afford luxuries．On the other hand，it just operates in the favor of regular school management．Wearing uniforms cultivates a sense of belonging and does good to the training of discipline．

However，as the saying goes，“Every coin has two sides”，negatives parts are also conceivable and increasingly becomes a matter of concern．To begin with，on account of the simple and boring design，school uniforms always fail to trigger the interest of students．What's more，confining varieties of teenagers strictly to the same style may restrict the development of personality，which will do harm to students' future life in society．As is known to all，owning a unique personality adds to one's competence．

In a nutshell，the answer to the question varies from person to person．It is hard to say which side outweighs the other．With all its paradox，the development of school uniforms has a long way to go．
