Sometimes in our life,it actually takes more time to achieve our goal when we do things hastily.Personally,I once had such an experience. If memory serves me,it happened when I was in junior high school.
In order to finish her comment on our monthly test,my English teacher didn't stop her class until it was completely dark outside. My eagerness to go home was beyond description as I knew my parents must be waiting anxiously for me to have dinner. On hearing “Class is over”,I picked up my bag and ran all the way to the bus stop.Grasping for breath,I saw a bus approaching.Crowded as it was,I squeezed onto the bus without hesitation. When finally getting on the bus where people were packed like sardines,I heaved a sigh of relief, for I felt my effort had paid off and I was able to return home as soon as possible.Crossroads after crossroads, the bus travelled quite smoothly. However,it was not until I managed to move to a place near the window that I found the landscape outside was anything but what I was familiar with.I then realized such a misfortune had occurred as I'd got on the wrong bus.I jumped off at the next stop, and it was almost another hour before I reached home by taxi, exhausted.
Life sometimes teaches us such lessons.Everything should be done step by step;otherwise, the consequence will turn out the opposite.“The more haste, the less speed” is what I've born in mind since then.
