Nowadays there's a strong inclination among the public to associate education to regular，traditional classroom settings．This notion，while prevalent，is unfortunately narrow and biased．As the following examples will demonstrate，education centers on a much broader scope and that it certainly knows no edges．

Based on a true story，the award-winning animation film “The Dead Poet Society” recounts the impressive and revolutionary teaching given by Mr．Keating．At the turn of the 20th century，the American education was still dominated by churches and orthodox dogmas．Mr．Keating，who believed in freedom of thought and individuality，however，boldly encouraged his students to pursue their own ideals rather than follow the examples of their predecessors，a principle so common today that's taken for granted．It was exactly this daring teaching method that transcended the contemporary rules performed by Mr．Keating and many other pioneers like him that gave birth to the freedom of speech that we so proudly boast and enjoy today．

I myself felt the power of first class education as well，which is why I firmly believe that education knows no limits．My first physics teacher was a vivid example．Throughout his teaching，he encouraged us to go beyond our textbooks and engage in research and exploration．His open-mindedness and wisdom has remained one of my fond memories．He led us in field-trips，provided guidance in laboratories and even played sports with us during breaks．Under his guidance，many of us have won awards in major science and creativity competitions．

Teachers can be much more than a man-shaped machine for inculcating test techniques，and so education can go beyond the traditional confines laid down through history．As the above examples show，educating，indeed，knows no edges．
