Some high school students take advantage of their vacations to do some odd jobs in order to train themselves as well as earn some money，which has become more and more popular．As far as I'm concerned，I absolutely stand for such practice for reasons as follows．

First of all，in my opinion，although the knowledge that we have gained in class is important，equal concentration should be laid on our practical abilities which play an important role in our future career．And doing odd jobs in vacations just caters to such needs．Secondly，as the economic burden is not put on students' shoulders，some students spend money like water，showing a lack of awareness of how hard their parents make a living．Therefore，to arouse students' attention，it seems to be the best way for students to experience the hardship and try solving the problems by means of doing odd jobs，offering a golden chance for them to appreciate their parents' great efforts to support a family．And lastly，doing odd jobs enables students to be exposed to the real society，meet people from all walks of life and broaden their horizons．Students will be given a clear picture of the present living conditions of ordinary people．

To sum up，doing odd jobs in the vacation does more good than harm to students，and they should find as many chances as they can to develop various abilities by this means．
