Dear Professor Green,
I write for information regarding the forthcoming International Linguistics Conference to be held at your prestigious university. I am a first-year student from Nanjing University majoring in Foreign Linguistics, and have a particular interest in the recent development in this field.
Now I would like to get some information. First, I want to know the contributory speakers, the content of their talks, and their research interests. Second, although I have been living in Nanjing in the past four years, I am unfamiliar with Nanjing. Therefore, if you could please also send the details of how to get to your university it would make my arrangements much easier.
In addition, if you could let me have details of the accommodation I would be more than grateful. I look forward to receiving the information and meeting you. Thank you.

結(jié)構(gòu)剖析
文章分為三段
第一段引出話題，介紹寫信的目的和自己的基本情況和自己想要參加的原因。
第二段首句是該段的主題句，詢問與會議相關(guān)的信息，并用first和second具體說明問題。
第三段用in addition又另外詢問了住宿情況，最后期待對方的回復(fù)，表示感謝。

現(xiàn)在我想咨詢一些信息。首先，我想知道會議發(fā)言人、發(fā)言內(nèi)容以及他們的研究興趣。其次，雖然我過去四年一直在南京生活，但我對南京并不熟悉。因此，如果您能將如何到達(dá)貴校的詳細(xì)路線寄給我，我的準(zhǔn)備工作就容易多了。
