美國人好有錢
A: I used to think that Americans had so much money they didn’t know what to do with it.
從前我老以為美國人都好有錢,卻不知道該怎么花。
B: You did?
你真這么想?
A: Yes. But now I’ve learned differently. Now I have a more realistic opinion.
是呀。不過我已經(jīng)知道不是這么回事了?,F(xiàn)在我的看法更實際。
B: What do you think now?
那你現(xiàn)在怎么想?
A: There are lots of jobs, and almost everybody works. There is a high standard of living. People earn a lot, but they spend a lot to live. So there isn’t so much money after all.
美國有許多行業(yè),而且?guī)缀跞巳硕脊ぷ?。生活水?zhǔn)高,個人收入多,但生活開支也大。所以最后也沒剩多少錢。
B: But I still say Americans spend a lot more money on useless things than we Chinese do.
但我還是認(rèn)為美國人比我們中國人愛亂花錢。
A: That’s true. But Americans work hard for their money like we do. I don’t know why our spending habits are so different.
那倒是。但是美國人和我們一樣努力地工作。我不知道為什么兩國的消費習(xí)慣這么不同。
