成語寓言故事:楊布打狗(雙語)
Yang Zhu had a younger brother named Yang Bu.
楊朱有個弟弟叫楊布。
One day, Yang Bu went to the market in a white suit. On his way it suddenly rained, and he got wet all over. He took off his white suit, went to a friend's home to borrow a black suit and went home in it.
有一天，楊布穿了一套白顏色的衣服上街去。路上，天忽然下雨，楊布全身淋濕了。他脫下這套白色的外衣，到一個朋友家里借了一套黑顏色的衣服，穿著回家。
The minute Yang Bu approached the gate of his house, the big dog he reared couldn't recognize him as its own master. Taking him for a stranger, it pounced upon him at once, opening its mouth, showing its teeth, and barking furiously.
楊布剛走到家門口，那條他養(yǎng)的大狗，竟一時認不出他就是自己的主人，還以為是個陌生人，立即撲了上去，毗牙咧嘴，汪汪亂叫。
This made Yang Bu lose his temper. He cursed:
這下子，楊布發(fā)火了，大罵:
"You beast! Can't you even recognize me?"
“畜生!怎么連我都不認得了!”
While cursing, he picked up a wooden stick and chased the dog to beat it.
他一邊罵，一邊揀起一根木棍，追上去要打狗。
When Yang Zhu saw that his brother was going to beat the dog, he hurriedly came out, took hold of Yang Bu and said:
這時候，楊朱看見弟弟要打狗，急忙跑出來，拉住楊布，說:
"Alas! How can you blame the dog? Suppose our dog were a white dog when it went out, but came back black, could you recognize it as our own dog?"
“哎呀!你怎么能怪狗呢?假如我們這條狗出去的時候是條白狗，回來的時候變成了一條黑狗，你能認得出是自己家的狗嗎。”
