兩個(gè)連環(huán)節(jié)

　　A countryman from the state of Lu sent to king Song Yuangong two knots that were difficult to untie.

　　The king posted a notice to find people with wisdom to undo the knots, but nobody could undo them.

　　Later one of Er Shou's students untied one of them but could not undo the other one. The student thereupon claimed, "The knot could impossibly be untied." The king sent people to check what he said with the countryman from Lu.

　　The man from Lu said, "He is right. This knot cannot be untied. It was not him that tied this knot. And he can tell that this knot cannot be untied. He surely is more clever than I am."

　　魯國(guó)的一個(gè)鄉(xiāng)下人送給宋元公兩個(gè)難以解開的連環(huán)結(jié)。

　　宋元公張榜招賢，卻無(wú)人能夠解開。

　　兒說(shuō)一個(gè)學(xué)生解開了其中的一個(gè)，另一個(gè)怎么也解不開。這個(gè)學(xué)生于是斷言：“這個(gè)繩結(jié)根本就不可能解開!”宋元公派人去問(wèn)連環(huán)節(jié)的魯國(guó)人這話是否準(zhǔn)確。

　　魯國(guó)人回答說(shuō)：“的確是這樣。這個(gè)結(jié)本來(lái)就是一個(gè)解不開的死結(jié)，我打這個(gè)結(jié)時(shí)，就知道它不可能被解開。說(shuō)這話的人并沒(méi)有親手打這個(gè)結(jié)，卻能看出這是個(gè)死結(jié)，這人的確比我聰明。”
