| Through winter-time we call on spring, | 在冬天里我們呼喚春天， |
| And through the spring on summer call, | 在春天里我們呼喚夏天， |
| And when abounding hedges ring | 在繁茂的樹籬 |
| Declare that winter's best of all; | 隨風響起的時候 |
| And after that there's nothing good | 我們又來呼喚冬天； |
| Because the spring-time has not come— | 因為春天未至—— |
| Nor know that what disturbs our blood | 卻不知那攪擾我們血液的 |
| Is but its longing for the tomb. | 是血液對墳墓的渴望。 |
