Children’s Eyes 孩子的眼睛

What kind of world is it my friend

that little children see?

小孩子眼里的世界會是什么樣子的呢，我的朋友們？

I wonder if they see God first

because they just believe?

我想知道他們是否可以見到他們所相信的上帝？

Do they see strength in caring eyes

who watch them as they play --

or maybe love through gentle hands

that guide them on their way?

他們是否看到旁人在他們玩耍時關(guān)切的眼神所傳達的力量

或者是引領(lǐng)他們走路時溫暖的充滿愛意的手。
 

Do you think they dream of future times

when they would be a king --

or just enjoy their present life

while with their friends they sing?

你認為他們是否能夠夢到未來世界

那時他們變成了國王

或者只是靜靜地享受現(xiàn)在的時光

和他們的小伙伴們一起唱歌？

Do they see the acts of kindness

done for people who are poor?

Is the very best in everyone

what they are looking for?

And when the day is over,

as they close their eyes to sleep,

他們是否能夠看到那些為逆境中的人們做出的善良之舉？

當(dāng)一天結(jié)束 他們閉上眼睛進入夢鄉(xiāng)的時候

他們會想 這些會是他們一直尋覓的嗎？
 

Do they look forward to tomorrow

with its promises to keep?

If this is what the children see,

then it should be no surprise,

the world would be a better place

if we all had children's eyes.

他們會在遵守諾言的同時期待明天嗎？

如果這些是孩子們所能看到的

那么這并不為奇

如果我們都有雙孩子的眼睛

那么這個世界將更加美好。
