★ turn off = switch off「關(guān)掉」如： turn on; switch on「打開」
★ I don't see why ~ 或I can't see why ~ 「我不懂為什么~」的句式用于質(zhì)問理由，帶有無法信服的味道，也可以用understand來代替see。I don't see why I should apologize to him.「我不懂為什么我必須跟他陪罪。」
★ make sense「有道理，講得通」如： 眾人據(jù)以作出明智判斷的「常理」英文稱為common sense，眾人皆知的「常識」英文稱為common knowledge。
