2021年春節(jié)檔以超78億元的票房成績收官，創(chuàng)下影史同期最高紀(jì)錄。賈玲也憑借電影《你好，李煥英》，成為了中國影史上票房最高的女導(dǎo)演。

那和“票房”有關(guān)的英文該怎么說呢？

Box office指的是賣票的地方，不管是賣球票還是賣電影票的地方，都可以稱作box office。

?

例如跟朋友約好去看電影，你可以說："I'll see you at the box office."那就是說，我們在賣票的地方見面。

?

此外，box office也可以用來指電影或球賽的"票房"，或是賣座的情況。例如：

Can you believe that? Scary Movie actually did very well at the box office.

?

你能相信嗎？Scary Movie這部片子的票房賣座居然非常地好。

?

注意到了沒，老美說一部電影的票房很好，不是用"The box office is very good."而是用a movie did very well (at the box office)，別搞錯了。

如果要提到實際的票房收入，則不妨用took in或是grossed這兩個動詞(均為過去式)，例如：

Over the weekend, the top 10 movies grossed over 100 million at the box office.

排名前十名的電影周末票房總收入超過1億美元。
