13. Blabbermouth

 blabbermouth 雞婆，長(zhǎng)舌婦，多嘴的人，愛(ài)喧嘩、吵鬧的人

Blabbermouth 1936年始見(jiàn)于英文文獻(xiàn)，此字僅有名詞形態(tài)，男女兼用，作“吵鬧的人”解時(shí)，其同義形容詞是rowdy(吵鬧的)， unruly (任性的，難以管束的)。blabbermouth 雖有損人之意，但語(yǔ)氣并不粗俗，正式社交場(chǎng)所應(yīng)可使用。

Blabbermouth 用以——責(zé)備，損人

我沒(méi)有跟你講過(guò)我調(diào)任的事，你怎么會(huì)知道的?

1. Miller 耶路撒冷市副市長(zhǎng)米樂(lè)認(rèn)為，因本年在英國(guó)主辦的Eurovision (歐洲電視)歌唱比賽的冠軍是一位以色列變性者，極為傷風(fēng)敗俗，故堅(jiān)決反對(duì)耶市主辦明年的比賽(照慣例，次年比賽由冠軍得主的國(guó)家主辦)。

Blabbermouth 吵鬧的人

1. in the old days 借“在古老的日子里”作“從前”解。

2. the ol’ evil eye ol’是old字的簡(jiǎn)化，在此處僅加強(qiáng)語(yǔ)氣，不作“老”解。evil eye兇猛的目光，白眼。
