 bimbo 愛搭訕的年輕女子，性生活放浪的美女，頭腦空空的美女，妓女；不重要的男人，下賤的及不足掛齒的男人，笨蛋家伙(泛指男性)

Bimbo是貶抑的字眼，自1918-1919年始見于美國文獻，多指女性，但也偶指男性，bimbette (1982)加了后綴-ette(小也，女也)，是輕薄的戲稱。 Bimbo一字在正式社交場所盡量避免使用，仕人淑女尤然。

Bimbo 用以貶抑女性

1. bimbo 沒有大腦的美女

A. Calling a woman a “slut”or“bimbo” is a common tactic that belittles individual women by making them the butt of sexual jokes.

以“蕩婦”或“頭腦空空的美人”稱呼女人，是把個別女人當做黃色笑話對象貶辱之的常用策略。

注：

1. 形容文中bimbo的字眼有“l(fā)oose”(淫蕩的)，“trashy”(無用的，垃圾般的)，“sleazy”(舉止隨便的)，及“promiscuous” (亂來的)。另見“a woman who uses her sexuality for manipulative ends”(利用性感以達希冀目的之女郎)。

A. “My1 problem is…that he has children from his first marriage.”

B. “Who are probably older than you. He has ties older than you.”

注：

1. 指某黑人社區(qū)報的一位黑人。女記者認為，黑人阿辛尼歐所主持的深夜脫口秀電視節(jié)目之所以停播，應怪他老邀請無聊的白人金發(fā)女郎上臺亮相。

2. Bimbette 是名詞，指因羨慕成功的人也夢想成名，卻沒有別人的本領(lǐng)。Wannabe 是 want to be 的快說。

3. sitting up there，wasting time 兩個雖都是現(xiàn)在分詞短語，但前者是有 be 的進行式，后者是獨立的分詞短語，說明sitting up there所為何事。二者語法性能不同，省去連接詞。

3. booth bimbo 展示會的女服務員

A. I’ve been in high tech since the early 1980s and have noticed that while the presence of booth bimbos1 is not as blatant or expansive as it was in the ’80s，they are still there.

那笨蛋投手球技特差，連谷倉倉壁也打不到。

注：

1. on the mound 在投手的崗位上(稍高于球場內(nèi)野土地)。

2. barn 谷倉，比一般獨棟住宅大約三倍，通常漆成紅色。
