英國人愛用的潮流俚語

流行的俚語總是隨時在變。一些“老實巴交”、“默默無聞”的英文單詞，說不定哪天搖身一變，變成了大家都愛用的潮流俚語了。

 

 

 

1. snatched 極好的（snatch本意是“搶走”）

You look snatched in the wedding dress!

你穿這件婚紗超贊！

2. cancel 任何不喜歡的東西都可以用這個詞回復(fù)

"Would you like vegetables with dinner?"

"CANCEL!"

“晚餐吃蔬菜怎么樣？”

“不好！”

 

 

3. budge up 挪一挪；讓開

We had to budge up to let the fourth person in the back of the car.

我們挪了挪，好讓第四個人坐到車后面來。

4. lit 漂亮，熱辣，身材好（lit原本是light的過去分詞）

That chick is lit!

那個妞真火辣！

5. high-key / low-key 高調(diào)的 / 低調(diào)的

I'm going out tonight but it's pretty low-key.

我今晚打算出去，不過沒幾個人知道。

6. have a flutter 下賭注（flutter本意是“煽動翅膀”）

Aunty Paula likes to have a bit of a flutter on the horses.

葆拉姨媽喜歡在賽馬上下一點兒小賭注。

7. blimey （表示驚訝）哎呀，天哪

Blimey, what a lot of food!

哎呀，這么多吃的！
