  英文病句急診室300句,分析在口語和寫作中容易犯的英語錯(cuò)誤,含有正確使用方法及解析。

  1. Between you and me, we have collected $2,000 for charity. (x)

  Between us, we have collected $z,ooo for charity.(√)

  Between us, our boss was absent.(x)

  Between you and me, our boss was absent. (√)

  “兩者或以上共同的努力或擁有”,用between us/them;表“不要告訴別人”,則須用between you and me或between ourselves。

  2. Be aware of the dog! It might bite.(x)

  Beware of the dog! It might bite. (√)

  be aware of=know,是“知道”或“了解”的意思,如:None was aware of the seriousness of the matter(當(dāng)時(shí)沒有人知道這件事情的嚴(yán)重性。) beware of是叫人“要提防某人或某物”的意思,常用于祈使句。

  3. The bible is also valuable in terms of literature. (x)

  指《圣經(jīng)》時(shí),須用a / the Bible(用大寫形式),如: I'd like to buy a hardback Bible.(我想要買一本精裝本的《圣經(jīng)》。)作一般可供參考的“有價(jià)值書籍”解時(shí),則用a / the bible.如:The anatomy book has been a bible for medical students(這本解剖學(xué)用書一直被醫(yī)學(xué)院學(xué)生奉為圣經(jīng)。)

  雖然中文可講“可能性很大”,但英文只能說a strong possibility,這是英文的習(xí)慣用法。同理,“極大的威脅”是a serious threat,不用big。

  Before I go to work, I usually watch a bit of TV news. (√)

  Before I go to work, I usually watch a little TY news. (√)

  a bit / little + 形容詞,如:I’m feeling a bit / little tired.(目前我覺得有點(diǎn)累了。) a little/a (little) bit of+名詞,如:The child could eat a little / a (little) bit of food now.(現(xiàn)在這個(gè)小孩可以稍微進(jìn)點(diǎn)食了。)

  You are a little too young to be a soldier.(√)

  You are a bit too young to be a soldier. (√)

  a bit / little too…為固定用法。

  7. Martha and I got divorced, and she blamed on me.(x)

  Martha and I got divorced, and she blamed it on me.(√)

  Martha and I got divorced, and she blamed me for it.(√)

  blame sth on sb=blame sb for sth,即“將某事歸罪于某人",是固定用法。

  8. I wonder who is to be b1amed for these ridiculous mistakes.(x)

  I wonder who is to blame for these ridiculous mistakes.(√)

  be to blame (for sth)是指“某人該(為某事)負(fù)責(zé)”,為習(xí)慣用法。

  9. Suddenly the TV screen went blind.(x)

  Suddenly the TV screen went blank.(√)

  go blind是指“某人因疾病或意外導(dǎo)致眼睛瞎了”,如:The accident made him go blind in one eye.(那起事故使他瞎了一只眼?!持?電視等)畫面的突然消失,用go blank,即“一片空白”之意

  10. It all happened in the flash of an eye.(x)

  It all happened in the blink of an eye. (√)

  “在一瞬間”的英文表達(dá)方式:in the blink of an eye=in the twinkling of an eye=in a twinkling=in / like a flash。
