“微博”這個詞從去年開始可謂是大紅大紫。從國外大名鼎鼎的Twitter到國內(nèi)博客巨頭新浪的跟風(fēng)，微博著實火了一把！中國的網(wǎng)民都親切把“微博”叫成“圍脖”，而它的英文你知道該怎么說嗎？

　　有的小盆友可能會以為：Twitter不就是微博的意思嗎？

　　但小編要說明的是，Twitter嚴(yán)格說來還是一個網(wǎng)站的名稱。當(dāng)然，在實在不知道“微博”這詞兒的時候你把twitter搬出來，老外也能明白你的意思。不過微博的準(zhǔn)確表達確實不是twitter。來看看維基百科對它的解釋吧：

　　Twitter is a free social networking and microblogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as tweets。

　　由此，我們知道微博的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)英文應(yīng)該是：microblog或者tweets。來用最近超熱門的胡錦濤同志開博事件造個句：

　　由此可見，“博主”就是author，有時也被稱為sender；而博主的追隨者則被稱為follower。
