不急著工作
佛瑞德。法默在城里有很多朋友，而且附近小孩都很喜歡他。大家都知道他曾經(jīng)是位職業(yè)棒球運(yùn)動(dòng)員。幾年前，
佛瑞德在洛杉磯的一個(gè)球隊(duì)打球。他在一次車(chē)禍中傷了胳膊，于是就放棄打棒球了
當(dāng)時(shí)，大家都認(rèn)為他會(huì)到他父親的冰激凌工廠(chǎng)上班。但是佛瑞德寧愿吃冰激凌，也不愿意賣(mài)冰激凌。他曾經(jīng)試著在市區(qū)的一家保險(xiǎn)公司上班他早晨8點(diǎn)半就要到公司上班，這對(duì)佛瑞德來(lái)說(shuō)太早了，所以干完第一個(gè)月后，他就辭去了這份工作。此外，他也不喜歡整天坐在辦公室里。
現(xiàn)在，佛瑞德的大部分時(shí)間都在公園里度過(guò)。他樂(lè)于教鄰近的小孩怎么打棒球。需要一點(diǎn)錢(qián)的時(shí)候，他就在體育館賣(mài)熱狗。
No Hurry To Work
Fred Farmer has a lot of friends in the city and is very popular with the neighbourhood kids.
Everyone remembers him as a professional baseball player. Fred used to be with a team in Los
Angeles several years ago.He had to give up baseball when he injured his arm in an automobile
accident.
At the time,everyone expected him to take a job at his father's ice cream factory. But Fred
would rather eat ice cream than sell it. Once he tried working for an insurance company
downtown. He had to be on the job at 8:30 in the morning. but that was too early for Fred and
he quit after the first month. Besides, he didn't like being in an office all day.
Nowadays, Fred spends most of his time in the park. He enjoys teaching boys in the
neighbourhood how to play baseball. Whenever Fred needs a little money he sells hot dogs at the
sports stadium.
