101 我的辦法奏效了 My trick worked

My fellow teacher called for help — she needed someone who knew about animals. As a science teacher,I filled the bill."Oh," she added,"bring a net."

Expecting to find some kind of beast as I entered her classroom,I was greeted instead by the sight of excited kids watching a hummingbird fly around. Rather than use the net,I suggested they hang red paper by an open door. I explained,the bird would be drawn to it,and eventually fly out. Later,the teacher called back. The trick worked.

"Now," she said,"we have two hummingbirds flying around the

room."

我的老師同事打電話(huà)尋求幫助,她需要一個(gè)懂動(dòng)物的人,因?yàn)槲沂亲匀焕蠋?她就來(lái)找我。她又補(bǔ)充說(shuō):"帶一個(gè)網(wǎng)來(lái)。"

我走進(jìn)她教室的時(shí)候,估計(jì)會(huì)看到什么野獸,可是我看見(jiàn)的是一群興高采烈的孩子正看著一只蜂鳥(niǎo)飛來(lái)飛去。我沒(méi)有用網(wǎng),而是建議他們?cè)诖蜷_(kāi)的門(mén)邊上掛一張紅紙。我解釋說(shuō),紅紙會(huì)把鳥(niǎo)吸引過(guò)去,最后飛出去。

后來(lái),這位老師打電話(huà)回來(lái)說(shuō),我的辦法奏效了。

她說(shuō):"現(xiàn)在我們有 2 只蜂鳥(niǎo)在教室里飛來(lái)飛去了。"
