Once there was a man named Jim, who let his dog out to relieve1 himself one night. He watched some TV and remembered to let the dog back in. When he opened the door, he was shocked at what he saw! In his dog's mouth was his neighbor's cat, dead! "Bad dog! Bad dog!" said the paniced man. He took the cat away and looked at it. He couldn't bring himself to tell his neighbor what happened, so he decided to clean it up and leave it on the neighbor's porch. He took the cat into the bathroom and washed off all the blood and dirt. He had to wash it four times to get it all cleaned. Since it was so dark, he snuck into the neighbor's yard, and laid the cat down on the porch3.

The next day, he was on his way to the car to go to work and his neighbor was outside. "Hi." He said. "Hi." Replied Jim, nervously. His neighbor said, "something weird happened last night." "Oh yeah? What's that?" Asked Jim, sweating now. "Well, my cat died yesterday, and we buried him, and this morning he was lying on my front porch!"

以前有個叫吉姆的男子，一天晚上，他讓狗自己出去放松一下。他看了一會電視，想起要讓狗進(jìn)屋來。當(dāng)他打開門，不禁為自己看到的情景驚呆了！在他家狗的嘴里是鄰居家的貓，已經(jīng)死了！“壞狗！壞狗！”痛苦的男子叫道。他從狗嘴里搶過貓，看了看。他無法面對鄰居告訴他發(fā)生了什么，于是他決定把死貓洗干凈并放在鄰居家的門廊前。他把死貓拿到浴室，把所有的血跡和臟土都洗掉了。他整整洗了四次才把死貓給弄干凈。由于天還黑，他悄悄地溜進(jìn)鄰居家的院子，把死貓放在門廊前。

第二天，當(dāng)他走向自己的小車準(zhǔn)備去上班時，他的鄰居剛好在外面?！班恕?，鄰居招呼道?！班恕?，吉姆答應(yīng)著，很是不安。他的鄰居說：“昨晚發(fā)生了一件奇怪的事情?！薄芭?，是嗎？是什么??？”吉姆汗流浹背地問道?！斑溃业呢堊蛱焖懒?，我們埋了它，可是今天早上它卻躺在我家門廊前！”
