Clinic’s Name

Two elderly couples were enjoying friendly conversation when one of the men asked the other，“Fred，how was the memory clinic you went to last month？”

“Outstanding，”Fred replied．“They taught us all the latest psychological techniques—visualization，association—it made a huge difference for me．”

“That’s great！What was the name of the clinic？”

Fred went blank．He thought and thought，but couldn’t remember．Then a smile broke across his face and he asked，“What do you call that red flower with the long stem and thorns？”

“You mean a rose？”

“Yes，that’s it！”He turned to his wife...“Rose，what was the name of that clinic？”

診所的名字

兩對老年夫婦正在親切地交談。其中一個老頭問道：“弗雷德，你上個月去的那家治療失憶癥的診所怎么樣？”

“太棒了！”弗雷德回答說，“他們教授我們最新的心理療法——形象記憶法，聯(lián)想記憶法——這讓我發(fā)生了很大的改變?！?

“太好了！那家診所叫什么名字？”

弗雷德腦子里突然出現(xiàn)了一片空白。他想啊想啊，還是記不起來。突然他臉上掠過一絲笑容，問道：“那個開著紅花，長著長莖，還有刺的植物叫什么來著？”

“你是說玫瑰花？”

“對，就是玫瑰！”他轉(zhuǎn)向自己的妻子……問道：“羅絲（英語玫瑰花的音譯），那個診所叫什么來著？”
