A wet night
雨夜
First listen and then answer the question.

What happened to the boys in the night?
Late in the afternoon, the boys put up their tent in the middle of a field. As soon as this was done, they cooked a meal over an open fire. They were all hungry and the food smelled good. After a wonderful meal, they told stories and sang songs by the campfire. But some time later it began to rain. The boys felt tired so they put out the fire and crept into their tent. Their sleeping bags were warm and comfortable, so they all slept soundly. In the middle of the night, two boys woke up and began shouting. The tent was full of water! They all leapt out of their sleeping bags and hurried outside. It was raining heavily and they found that a stream had formed in the field. The stream wound its way across the field and then flowed right under their tent!

雨夜
傍晚時分，孩子們在田野中央搭起了帳篷。這件事剛剛做完，他們就在篝火上燒起了飯。他們?nèi)拣I了，飯菜散發(fā)出陣陣香味。他們美美地吃了一頓飯后，就圍在營火旁講起了故事，唱起了歌。但過了一陣子。天下起雨來，于是他們撲滅了篝火，鉆進(jìn)了帳篷。睡袋既暖和又舒服，所以，他們都睡得很香。午夜前后，有兩個孩子醒了，大聲叫了起來。原來帳篷里到處都是水！他們?nèi)继鏊?，跑到外面。雨下得很大，他們發(fā)現(xiàn)地上已經(jīng)形成了一條小溪。那小溪彎彎曲曲穿過田野，然后正好從他們的帳篷底下流過去。

fire 可數(shù)也不可數(shù) (一堆堆的火—可數(shù), 爐子里的火—不可數(shù))
★creep v. (crept;crept) 爬行 (躡手躡腳的) 也是平行的爬
climb the tree. climb up or down (上下爬)
crawl : The baby is crawling on the floor.(平行地爬)
creep out 躡手躡腳(別人不注意, 偷偷摸摸的)

passing plane 正在路過的飛機
動詞加ing 變成形容詞作定語有二個意思 :
⑴ 正在... : sleeping dog
⑵ 用來做... : sleeping bag

★soundly adv. 香甜地
sleep soundly 睡得很甜
go to bed 上床/go to sleep 睡覺/fall asleep墜入夢鄉(xiāng)/sleep well睡得很好/sleep deeply 睡得很沉
fall 為半聯(lián)系動詞
fast : fall fast asleep 睡得好香 “fast asleep” 熟睡
★leap v. 跳躍, 跳起
jump : jump up and down原地跳躍
leap : 跳躍, 有距離(如從溝的這邊跳到另一邊, 位置變化)
skip : 課文行的跳過去, 單詞, 文章 : Let us skip it?

leap year/month 閏年/月
★heavily adv. 大量地
rain/snow heavily 一般與雨雪連用
smoke heavily 煙癮重
He smokes heavily.
★stream n. 小溪

★wind [waind] v. 蜿蜒 (wound;wound)
wind one's way 蜿蜒而行
The road winds its way.
注意與名詞wind[wInd](風(fēng))的讀音不同.
★right adv. 正好
強調(diào)作用
right 做副詞時強調(diào)后邊的形容詞, 副詞, 介詞短語, 不強調(diào)動詞
可用just來替換
just like 正好/just as 正如
后邊加代詞時只能用just. 如 : just you 就是你了. 不能用 “right” 代替
Right here.就在這兒
“Right here waiting for you” : 《在此等候》―歌名
I found my lost watch right in the graden.我就在花園里找到了我丟失的手表
