同位語(yǔ)　My daughter　 Jane

of one's own age : He is boy of my own age.

with　放在名詞后面做定語(yǔ)

I have a bag with books in it.(“in it” 不能省略)

with 放在句子后面做狀語(yǔ)用

think of : 考慮　　　dream of : 夢(mèng)想

write to : 給某人寫信　　write (a letter) to me

each other : 相互－往往強(qiáng)調(diào)兩者之間的相互 ([i:tF 5QTE] 注意連讀)

one another : 強(qiáng)調(diào)三或三者以上的相互

will cost     will travel

一旦用cost,主語(yǔ)一定是物

something cost somebody

more : 即可做形容詞, 又可做代詞 : give me more 再給我一點(diǎn)

文中的 “more” 為代詞 = more money

a little　可以修飾比較級(jí) : 稍微

much more : 多得多

It's a little hotter.  It's much hotter.

It's expensive.       That is more expensive.

That is a little more expensive.

That is much more expensive.

But they will certainly travel faster.

也可 : but they will certainly travel much faster.

much faster 快的多

Verbs followed by of, from, in and on 后面可跟of, from, in和on的動(dòng)詞

We can put of, from, in, or on after certain verbs:

of, from, in, on可以用在某些動(dòng)詞的后面 :

Jane never dreamed of receiving a letter…(11. 1-2)

She never thought of it again. (11. 4-5)

She received a letter from a girl in Holland. (11. 5-6)

b  FROM: borrow, defend(or against), demand(or of), differ, dismiss, draw(SD 64), emerge, escape, excuse(or for), hinder, prevent, prohibit, protect(or against), receive, separate, suffer.

后接from的動(dòng)詞 : 從……借; 保護(hù)……使免于; 向……要求; 有別于; 解雇; 從……中得出(參見(jiàn)第64課難點(diǎn)); 從……出現(xiàn); 從……逃出; 允許不……; 阻止; 妨礙; 不準(zhǔn)許; 向……提抗議; 接到; 把……分開(kāi); 受難.

c  IN: believe, delight, employ(ed), encourage, engaged., experienced., fail, help(or with), include, indulge, instruct, interest(ed), invest, involved., persist, share.

后接in的動(dòng)詞 : 信仰; 喜歡; 從事; 鼓勵(lì); 正做; 在……有經(jīng)驗(yàn); 沒(méi)有盡到; 幫助; 包括; 沉醉; 教導(dǎo); 對(duì)……感興趣; 投資; 卷入; 堅(jiān)持; 分享.

d  ON: act, based., call(SD 34), comment, concentrate, congratulate, consult(or about), count, decide, depend, economize, embark, experiment, insist, lean(or against), live, operate, perform(or in), pride(oneself), rely, vote(on a motion; for someone), write(or about).
