北京取消8月大型會(huì)展活動(dòng)

The Chinese capital Beijing has decided to cancel large-scale exhibitions and events scheduled for this month, after three locally-transmitted COVID-19 cases were newly confirmed in the first 12 hours of Wednesday.

8月4日0時(shí)-12時(shí)，北京確認(rèn)新增3名新冠本土傳播病例，北京市政府決定，原則上取消8月份在京舉辦的大型會(huì)展活動(dòng)。

The municipal government urged relevant departments to carry out timely epidemiological investigations on specific close-contact groups with large mobility, including taxi and ride-hailing drivers, and delivery personnel.

市政府還要求，對(duì)出租車網(wǎng)約車司機(jī)和外賣員、快遞員等流動(dòng)性較大的密接人員，第一時(shí)間跟進(jìn)流調(diào)。

Beijing plans to step up the screening of people entering the city from areas with reported COVID-19 cases.

It also urges relevant departments to take better care of medical workers at the frontline of disease prevention and control.

Airports and traffic nodes in the city are being asked to strengthen their prevention and control measures to halt the spread of the coronavirus.

Public places such as parks, scenic spots, performance venues, cinemas and libraries should strictly limit the number of visitors and implement staggered shifts and reservation systems.
