Eleven elementary school children, between the ages of 10 and 12, were killed when a truck fell into a ravine in Cebu, central Philippines on Friday morning.

周五上午，菲律賓中部宿務(wù)市一輛卡車墜入峽谷，造成11名10至12歲的小學(xué)生死亡。

Local media Cebu Daily News reported that the victims were taking a ride in a mini dump truck to attend an event in the town of Boljoon, near where the truck fell off a roadside cliff at around 7:00 a.m.

當(dāng)?shù)孛襟w宿務(wù)日?qǐng)?bào)(Cebu Daily News)報(bào)道稱，遇難者當(dāng)時(shí)乘坐一輛小型自卸車參加博爾瓊鎮(zhèn)的一場(chǎng)活動(dòng)。早上7點(diǎn)左右，卡車在博爾瓊附近從路邊的懸崖上墜落。

Boljoon public information officer Ruben Nieri confirmed the incident, saying that at least 20 more individuals were brought to a hospital for treatment.

博爾瓊公共信息官員魯本·涅里證實(shí)了這一事件，稱至少還有20人被送往醫(yī)院接受治療。

An investigation into the incident and a search-and-retrieval operation are ongoing, local media reported.
